The end-user (commonly the teacher) would take the control of a remote computer.

This means:

Take the control of the mouse of a remote computer
Take the control of the keyboard of a remote computer

This may mean:

Watch running processes and kill them, if requested.
Disable keyboard or keyboard.
Block student computer.
Disable internet connection.
Power off, reboot, hibernate, and suspende.
