Dear @mfgu ,

I am working on the calculation of multipole collision strengths between magnetic sublevels for modeling polarized line emission in tokamak plasmas. I have been studying your 2008 paper (Can. J. Phys. 86, 675 (2008)), and I am particularly interested in Equation (51), which provides a fully magnetic-sublevel-resolved expression for the excitation cross section under a unidirectional electron beam.

To apply this formalism within FAC, I would like to ask:

  1. Could you kindly clarify how Equation (51) is implemented or reflected in the excitation.c file?
  2. Which subroutines correspond to the computation of multipole collision strengths between magnetic sublevels?
