Raw material lands here. The AI reads it, extracts what matters into stack/, and the originals stay put as the audit trail.
Nothing here is committed to git. It routinely contains customer names, pricing, contracts, personal data and things people told you in confidence. See docs/safety.md.
Do not sort it. Do not clean it. Sorting is the AI's job.
| Why it matters | |
|---|---|
| Call and meeting transcripts | The highest-value input by a distance. What people actually said, not what a deck claims. Record every customer call, supplier call and mentor session. |
| Pitch decks — current and every dead version | The dead ones show what you stopped believing |
| Business plan, financial model, any spreadsheet with real numbers | |
| Market research and deep-research reports | The PDFs you commissioned and never re-read |
| Competitive intelligence | Screenshots, price lists, competitor sites, the WhatsApp tip-off about a new entrant |
| Customer conversations | Emails, WhatsApp exports, support threads, interview notes |
| Supplier quotes, invoices, POs, rate cards | The only honest source of what things actually cost |
| Website export or URL | Your public claims, which have to match your private ones |
| Registration and legal documents | Incorporation, GST, trademark, shareholding, signed agreements |
| Brand and design references | Logo files, colour codes, fonts, screenshots of pages you like |
Rescue the pictures. A chart inside a PowerPoint or a PDF is invisible to text extraction — the AI reads the caption and misses the numbers in the graph. If a chart matters, export it as an image, drop the image in here alongside the file, and ask the AI to read the picture.
Prefer plain text where it is free. .md and .txt are lighter and cheaper for the AI than .docx and .pdf. Do not spend an hour converting things — Word files are fine as they are — but if something is already text, keep it text.
Helpful but not required. If you can, prefix with a date and say what it is:
2024-05-12-call-transcript-distributor.md
2024-04-supplier-quote-packaging.pdf
pitch-deck-v4.pdf
pitch-deck-v1-DEAD.pdf
market-research-category.pdf
Once processed, leave files here. Do not delete them, and do not let the AI edit them — they are the evidence behind every citation in stack/. When someone challenges a number in eight months, this folder is what settles it.
