Grayjay doesn't play YouTube videos

I paid for this, as an alternative to NewPipe, as I felt it important to support Louis' efforts, while moving away from Google's surveillance capitalism.

I keep the app updated, only use it as a YouTube scraper. It doesn't work anymore, asks for a sign in to Google. This used to be intermittent, now has been constant for a long while. I can't use it anymore, am very disappointed. I'm not signing in to Google for this, will just have to dump Futo apps if this is the way things are going.

Please fix this.

So, it failed to work for months, over update after update, and after you finally figured out a real fix, your response to me was basically, "You're wrong, it works". Really?
