# Issue Triage — Workflow & Progress

We are cleaning up the GitHub issue backlog for https://github.com/gambitph/Stackable. Many issues are stagnant, outdated, or from the v2 era. Work in **batches of 10** (oldest open issues first).

**User must sign off before any GitHub changes** (close, comment, relabel). Present triage recommendations first; only apply after approval.

### Triage presentation format

For each issue in a batch, include a **short summary title** (≤10 words, plain language) before the verdict — e.g. `#897 — Disable title/category links in Posts`. Use the summary in summary tables; link the full GitHub title.

## Triage checklist (every issue)

1. **Codebase** — fixed, implemented, obsolete (v2), or still valid?
2. **Changelog** — search `readme.txt` for issue number or symptom
3. **Roadmap** — https://wpstackable.com/roadmap (only covers near-term; absence ≠ reject)
4. **Duplicates** — search GitHub for same symptom/block
5. **Verdict** — close / keep / needs-reproduction / not-planned
6. **Labels** — relabel touched issues per `issue-labels.mdc` (do NOT bulk-migrate all issues)

## Common verdicts

## Product decisions already made

- **AMP** — not supported; #1615 closed
- **Saving custom designs** — Global Block Styles (shipped); Saving Patterns & Pages on roadmap (#7); #500/#704 closed with roadmap pointer
- **Image title/caption** — use Image alt + Custom Attributes (Advanced tab); #758, #811 closed
- **Design Library layout tab** — #826 closed as no longer relevant in V3
- **WP Styles interface** — use Stackable's own design system (Global Block Styles, layouts, color schemes); #2063 closed
- **Stale dynamic content in preview** — accepted WordPress limitation; #2088 closed
- **DC on pagination/load more** — not supported by design; #2298 closed
- **Template lock on inner blocks** — removed from blocks like Feature Grid; deleted inner blocks restoring was expected WP behavior; #2092 closed

## Labels

Use the standardized set in `issue-labels.mdc`. Relabel issues **as we triage them** — do not run bulk label migration.

Created labels: `feature-request`, `needs-reproduction`, `accessibility`, `compatibility`, etc.

Legacy labels (`[block] v2 *`, `high priority`, `[block] New`) still exist on untriaged issues — remove when editing an issue.

## Priority & releases

Use the [release project board](https://github.com/orgs/gambitph/projects/2/views/1) for version/priority — not GitHub labels.
