Namespace "DS_" for datastructures? #14

The question is: what do we really mean by that? It seems we are using the DS_ prefix for internal (C/kernel) functions, that's it.

I'd say: Either flesh out this issue and explain what the idea / goal is, or close it.

What I mean is: What should the name-prefix for functions internal to the datastructures package be?

I am happy with DS_, but people might object to it for being too short and non-descriptive, in which case one could use DATASTRUCTURES_, which is reeally quite long (but tab-completion can take care of it).

Once decided we should bulk-rename our internal functions, and that's it.
