Custom Fonts

Hello!

Is there a way to generate custom fonts for this project from something common like TTF and OTF fonts? If so, how do I do that?

Hi

No I did not generate custom fonts, I just acquired font data from the internet.
Fonts 1-6 use vertical addressed data.
I got fonts 1-6 from this website. https://jared.geek.nz/2014/01/custom-fonts-for-microcontrollers/
You download the fonts.zip. In order to add a new font to project , you would have to

1. add the font data to the ST7735_TFT_Font.cpp and ST7735_TFT_Font.hpp files
2. modify the ST7735_TFT_graphics.hpp font enums for new font.
3. modify the font functions in ST7735_TFT_graphics.cpp : TFTdrawChar() & TFTFontNum().

The ST7735_TFT_RPI library has been amalgamated into my combined display library 'Display_Lib_RPI.' . This library has a better font system which lets user
add and remove fonts much easier and there is a detailed font readme explaining how to do it , just go to fonts section
in main readme. Any font with horizontally addressed font data can be used. Maybe this library is better for you.

Oh wow, I just noticed that I asked the question here and not in the new library - yes, I use that one instead, it's actually really good! Thanks for the feedback though, hopefully I can find a way to generate font data from a custom TTF/OTF font myself. If I get around making a converter, I'll make sure to maybe create a pull request in the new project.
