The name of the file must be locale.properties and must be placed in the same directory as SciTEGlobal.properties, for example,

Right-click one of the links and choose "Save link as..." or "Save target as..."

Navigate to the directory where SciTE.exe is located

Type in the filename "locale.properties" and click Save

Re-open SciTE.exe, and the menus and dialogs will show translated text

Open a terminal, and copy the file to /usr/share/scite/locale.properties

(Note the change of filename from locale.es.properties to locale.properties). /usr/local/share/scite can be tried if /usr/share/scite does not exist.

Re-open SciTE, and the menus and dialogs will show translated text
