[Feature Request] IP Ping instead of HTTP URL

Description

Would there be a way in which I could ping an ip or port directly to check for availability? Would like to check if systems are online for an service overview landingpage. But I can only use the ping command on URLs. Technically it is possible within JavaScript to check for a tcp port (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/4282151/is-it-possible-to-ping-a-server-from-javascript). This could already work in 90+% of all service use cases.

Thanks for your hard work. Hope this will be implemented and helps to shape to product further.
