Sounds risky from a security standpoint so no, probably not something we’d want |

Description
Perhaps it's not the right way to go about it, but I have been wondering if custom javascript could be used as a middle point between implementing a new widget and using the
customapi
one as is.Granted, the
customapi
allows for great flexibility, but sometimes I end up implementing a little service only to transform API output for Homepage. What I imagined is something like:
Maybe something else?
I am thinking here of lowering the barrier of entry to more customization without the need to implement widgets.
What do you think? Is this something that maybe can be done already in some other way? If not, Is this worth considering for a PR?
