New Pi-Hole upate seems to break widget

Description

Pi-hole issued a breaking update last night and it seems to have affected the homepage widget.

Checking the container logs, (it's pihole dockerized), I see:

2025-02-19 09:03:17.060 GMT [56/T184] WARNING: API: Bad request (The API is hosted at pi.hole/api, not pi.hole/admin/api)

..which I'm guessing is homepage pinging it, but I'm not sure how to fix it.

Any ideas?

I just updated Pi-hole and the same issue arises, it seems they changed the URL hosting the API

Pi-hole v6 doenst have an api.php page.

Actually it doesn't use PHP at all. It is a completely rewritten web interface with a new REST API.

Every third party app need to update its code to connect to the new API.

I just did some digging and yes , it seems Pi-Hole changed everything related to the API, and it seems it won´t work the "old way" unfortunatelly
