Pi-hole v6 breaks the widget

After upgrading to Pihole v6, I receive, API Error: Bad request

Here is the solution...

In the Pi-Hole GUI -
1 access System-> Settings->Web interface/API
2 toggle the "Basic" to "Expert"

3 toggle the "Basic" to "Expert"
4 click on Configure app password (you may have to hover the key to actually see it)
5 Copy and paste the new key into the Homepage setup for Pi-Hole

Works great!
