I have lots of old GH notifications, some of which are from repos that have since been deleted. I can't seem to dismiss these alerts in gitify, either by issue or by repo.
Hello @jmcarp! Have you tried quitting the app and restarting? It should clear the notifications list and refetch. If the notifications are still then it means that they are coming from the GitHub API (do they show under https://github.com/notifications ?) .
I have managed to recreate this issue on windows, it does the dismiss animation but doesn't collapse.

Restarting the app does remove the empty spaces remaining from the dismissed notifications, so that is a valid workaround - but this issue should be reopened.
Was running 5.16.1 when I encountered this. I've not recorded any logs - however, if I encounter this issue again I'll be sure to provide an update with a stack trace!
@d-blackburn - to confirm, was the above scenario on GHE? If so, which version?
I attempted to recreate this morning on GitHub Cloud, but after raising notifications and then deleting the repository the notifications were cleaned-up automatically in github.com/notifications and also in Gitify, too

thanks @d-blackburn - can you please confirm which version are you running (assuming
5.16.2
)?setchy commentedon Nov 21, 2024
Also, is there a stack trace in the logs that you could share? That would quite helpful

@setchy it was using GitHub Cloud. I'll try and recreate the issue at some point today/ tomorrow and provide an update in here if I manage to!
