Interesting idea. Is there any reason that each driver instead of database/sql should support otel?

If so, I want to discuss about it with database/sql developers and otel developers.

There are a few driver independent implementations already. While it might be useful to link to them in docs, I don't think there's any reason to handle it natively in this repo
