Question, what if we leave ingesters on read-only mode indefinitely? Thinking about having ingesters on various AZs but only have one set of ingesters on the same AZ with write-read active and the others as read-only. If there is a problem with AZ i can go ahead and enable the other set of ingesters in the differing AZ. Is there an issue with just leaving ingesters as read-only for weeks or months on end? Would they be requested to provide results upon receiving a query or even receive a request for a read operation?
I am aware that if we do this we may lose ~2hours of data or so because blocks may have not moved to storage.
