Each time I talk to teachers about Hedy in workshops and such, they always ask me if there are any ways in which they can make their students work on their own level. Now the only options for the stronger students are: going through the material faster, doing the Extra assignments (not many), or being creative and making it harder for yourself (super hard for students).
For the weaker students we don't have any extra assignments, apart from always starting the level quite easy (we hope) and hoping that the teacher will give them extra support.
I think I might have a good idea about it: What if we could label the adventures 'extra instructions', 'basic' and 'extra challenging' (or something like that, of course). This way we could let the teacher decide which adventures are available to which student in their class by grouping them in these labels.
For example:
Student A, B and C are struggling, so the teacher activates the extra instructions assignments for them. And the teacher can help the students on their way with those assignments (maybe 2 or 3)
The main part of the group is doing the basic adventures (like we have now)
Student D and C find it super easy, so they get the basics and the extra challenging adventures (also maybe 2 or 3 more).
The teacher could classify the students in the student overview with one column of ticks.
Especially in the higher levels we have a big difference in adventures already. So if we could label that, we could use it.
What do you think about it?
