Description
Basically a stopgap between the regular Chute and Smart Chute.
Like the Smart Chute, the Brass Chute would have a max stack size of 64, as opposed to the regular Chute's max of 16. However, it cannot be filtered and it cannot be toggled by redstone.
Like the Chute, the Brass Chute could be angled, encased (using brass casing), and wrenched to show a window.
Crafting recipe would be the same as a Chute, but replace the iron parts with brass. The Smart Chute's crafting recipe could also be altered to use a Brass Chute instead of a regular Chute, to indicate the progression. This also allows regular Chutes to still have a place, where the more expensive Brass recipe is not needed due to already sustainable throughput.
The purpose of this would be to allow for more effective chute transport, so as to avoid bottlenecking, increase throughput, and allow more flexible designs. Right now the only way to transport stacks sizes of >16 is in a straight vertical line using Smart Chutes, which is expensive and heavily limits design possibilities. With Brass Chutes, you could transport stacks of 64 items diagonally and for much cheaper, since you don't need to filter/lock the chutes anyway. This also allows for more balance options over simply altering regular Chutes to allow stack sizes of 64. Now you are encouraged to upgrade your factories for greater throughput once you get brass.
Beyond increasing the throughput of specific factories, this can also be used to consolidate items into a central storage system without having to worry about bottlenecking from regular Chutes. You could, for example, have a central Brass Chute that runs through all floors of your factory and collects all items for storage on the ground floor. This avoids bottlenecks, as most Create factories process items 64 at a time, rather than 16.
