What are your thoughts on pairing a public inbox app for patches with smithy?

I'm more interested in knowing what people's workflows are for using smithy to receive patches/contributions for a project.

I was thinking of self-hosting sourcehut, for example, but I think smithy would be a better solution given that I don't need the entire sourcehut suite of apps and I think smithy would probably be a cleaner more minimal solution.

@pedrolucasp what is the mailing software that you are working on?

Just wanted to say hi 👋 And that I'm thinking along similar lines and just came across your project tonight. Its very well written and very nice 👌 I've yet to come up with a good solution for publishing and managing patches/contributions though...

Try this: https://drewdevault.com/2019/05/13/Git-email-webcast.html

And maybe this: https://git-send-email.io/

Thanks @honza I've actually become quite familiar with how sr.ht manages incoming patches (more or less) and how it all works in general. I'm still not 100% convinced its the best way, but oh well 🤷‍♂️
