Multiple API Calls Triggered by Consecutive Clicks on Same Action Event

Current behavior

When a user clicks the same action button multiple times in quick succession, the system sends multiple API requests for the following events-

1. Multiple handover clicks allowed on packed list page
2. Multiple handover clicks allowed on alert in details page of packed tab
3. Multiple clicks allowed on Replace Picker action
4. Multiple clicks allowed on Logout action
5. Multiple clicks allowed on Print Packing Slip action
6. Multiple clicks allowed on Print Picklist action
7. Multiple clicks allowed on Reject Order Item alert in packed details page
8. Multiple clicks allowed on Reject Order Item alert in open list page
9. Multiple clicks allowed on Confirm Cancellation action
10. Request Transfer button on open details page.

I don't like the approach of disabling the button. I think the app should have some sort of system to only allow one instance of a request like semaphore to prevent these issues rather than blocking the user.
