The gaming mode seems to be using my regular mouse speed, which is nice.
The "deskhop"-mode however was initially way too high and I found it hard to arrive at the right speed because X and Y aren't even coupled in the sense that if I want a uniform x and y axis I can't input the same number.
Using a ruler I was able to end up with an atleast similar speed, of X=7 and Y=12.
It would be very nice if we could have same mouse speeds in both modes and a better way of figuring out what to input.
For reference I use the Razer Viper V2 Pro, 1600 DPI, 4/11 windows mouse speed, "Enhance pointer precision" disabled.

the inconsistency between X and Y might be fixed by #226. I think you can adjust the speed in the config as well to try to get your different modes to match up. I don't think it'd be easy to do that in the code because it would require knowing the resolution of the display
