Describe the bug
Installed Hyperspace from the DEB file on the official website onto my computer running Debian Testing (Bullseye). When I try to launch it my shell prints this out:

“hyperspace” terminated by signal SIGTRAP (Trace or breakpoint trap)

To Reproduce

  1. Be on Debian Bullseye
  2. Download Hyperspace .DEB from the official website
  3. Run hyperspace

Expected behavior
The app works like it does in the web UI.

App Information:

  • OS: Debian Testing (Bullseye), Linux 5.6.0-2-amd64, KDE Plasma 5.17.5
  • Package Versions: libgtk 3.24.20-1, libnotify 0.7.9-1, libnss 2:3.53-1, libxss 1:1.2.3-1, libxtst 2:1.2.3-1, xdg-utils 1.1.3-2, at-spi 2.36.0-2, libuuid 2.35.2-4, libappindicator 0.4.92-8, libsecret 0.20.3-1
  • Hyperspace v1.1.2

If possible, try running Hyperspace Desktop from the Terminal. Does it provide more detailed information? Unfortunately, the error listed isn't detailed enough to get a sense of what's going on.

Is this also reproducible on the latest stable Debian release? We usually test off of Ubuntu or a stable release of Debian.

I ran it from the terminal and it gave me the error that I described in the issue description (Terminated by signal SIGTRAP (Trace or breakpoint trap)). I'm not sure what other details I can give other than running a debugger on the executable, and I'm not familiar with any debuggers so you'd have to tell me how to do that 😄

I provided the versions of the dependencies since I know that Debian Testing is a somewhat uncommon/less tested setup. I can't run it on Debian 10 because I don't have a PC with Debian 10.

There might be an Electron issue or Debian packaging issue at play. Typically, we don't use GDB breakpoints because we're working on the surface with TypeScript and JavaScript, so seeing this message is a bit confusing. @travisk-codes , could you investigate whether or not this is an Electron issue and not an issue with our code?

@JWinnie Does this issue also occur in Hyperspace Desktop v1.1.3 (latest)? The website should be updated with the latest download links.
