Create & Implement MCE-EDITS scenarios

In order to implement the scenarios, we need to:

• Take exogenously determined pdt-cap trajectory, especially for LDVs. The file provided by Masa & Tao for the LDV is given here (2025-05-13 21-19-26-15535_temp_LDV)
• Merge it with pdt-cap from SSP2 for all other modes (mce edits_pdt-cap)
• The state code for implementing is given here as well (MCE edits.do)

(Temporary) Implementation of MCE-EDITS scenario test run:

• We use the same setup as DIGSY scenarios, described here
  - This means that lifetime-ldv, ldv-activity , load factor, values are all set to SSP2 values
  - In addition, for MCE-EDITS, elasticity-f LED values are also set to SSP2 values

• Replace pdt-cap values to MCE-EDITS values, found in this folder

• Run LED-SSP2

• In addition, for MCE-EDITS, elasticity-f LED values are also set to SSP2 values.

• Run LED-SSP2.

If I interpret this correctly:

• On main, the 4 above parameters/files mentioned above have distinct values for scenario=LED.
• "Run[ning the scenario] LED-SSP2" will select these values.
• In order to disable distinct LED values for those four parameters, you temporarily replaced (on the Implement DIGSY scenarios #374 branch) the distinct LED values in those input files with the values appearing in the same files scenario=SSP2 or scenario=*.

Then one way to describe the implementation would be:

• SSP2…
  • except with all of the LED values [for parameters A, B, C, etc.]
    • except without the LED values for lifetime-ldv, ldv-activity, load-factor-ldv, and elasticity-f.
• plus, distinct EDITS values for pdt-cap.

Instead of double-negatives, it will be much easier to communicate and implement if we try to describe explicitly and positively what values are included in the scenario:

• SSP2
  • except with the LED values for parameters A, B, C, [here a complete and explicit list that does not include the 4 mentioned parameters]
• plus, distinct EDITS values for pdt-cap.
