ISLAMU Event Contributor License Agreement

The full Contributor License Agreement text is maintained at legal/CLA.md.

Every non-bot contributor must sign the CLA before a pull request can be merged.

Quick Reference: How to Sign

When you open a pull request, the CLA Assistant bot will post instructions. Post a new comment with the exact text:

I have read and agree to the ISLAMU Event Contributor License Agreement v1.0, and I confirm that I have the right to submit my contribution under it.

To re-run the CLA check after signing, post a comment containing only recheck.

Why a CLA?

ISLAMU Event is distributed publicly under AGPL-3.0-or-later. The CLA grants the ISLAMU project steward additional inbound rights from contributors so the non-profit organization (ISLAMU ASBL en formation, transitioning seamlessly to ISLAMU ASBL upon registration) can also offer ISLAMU Event under alternative terms for legitimate enterprise internal-use on-premises/VPC compliance (where corporate policies ban AGPL copyleft on internal tools), humanitarian missions, and sustainability—without taking ownership away from contributors.

Community Anti-SaaS Protection: The Project Steward is bound by a strict covenant never to grant an alternative license permitting a third party to operate a closed-source, proprietary SaaS or cloud service. Any entity offering ISLAMU Event as a SaaS must use AGPL-3.0-or-later, guaranteeing that all code improvements are shared back with the community. See legal/CLA.md for the full legal text.
