Take the raft to Crescent, use the Echoes portal. The vanilla return portal only responds to currents in rando.

For reference, entrance rando has a echoes portal on the same spot in the present
db 00,d9,00,18,d7 # portal on SW crescent island

That fixes the immediate problem. Does nothing for the Dimitri problem though.
