Consider using the Microsoft coding standards editor config for this template

I would like to recommend that maybe consider using the .editorconfig file used by Microsoft open source. The big advantage of that would be all the coding standards are fully documented by Microsoft.

However if the existing editorconfig file is better than the Microsoft s editorconfig file. Can you please provide some information why its better and what standards it adheres too with any external references.
