How to update tailscale?

Hello all, I just got tailscale installed and working on my jetkvm but I noticed when I try to update tailscale on the device via the tailscale UI I get an error that the tailscale executable was not found in the expected place and the update fails. Additionally trying to run "tailscale update" via ssh on the device results in TLS errors due to the device not having full cert chains. So my question is how are we supposed to update Tailscale on our jetkvm?
