After more playing around, I believe I've gained a little insight and at least a partial explanation. If I enter text in the symbol which is long enough that it automatically wraps, then the "Line Height" has no effect as far as I can tell. This is what I've done for years, and the source of my dilemma. But I copied a symbol with the line-wrapped text and put hard returns between each line. Then "Line Height" DOES work as needed! So, it seems there's no line spacing control when the text auto-wraps. Or, at least, I don't know how to control it. If you happen to know, I'd love to learn about it! Blessings, |

Dear draw.io community,
I've been using draw.io via Google Drive for quite a while now, and have often run into this formatting issue. It finally irritated me enough that searched here and in the draw.io forums, but I'm coming up blank.
When I create a symbol (process/rounded rectangle, decision/diamond, etc.) and double click and insert multi-line text, there is a line spacing. I can reduce the font size from the default 12pt, and that proportionally reduces the line spacing, but there's still a lot of vertical whitespace. It's not double-spaced... if looks like 1.5-spaced to my eye. But the bottom line is that there's a lot of vertical whitespace between the lines of text.
When I double-click on the text, the format options on the right show "Line Height" at 120%, but changing this (even to 0%) has no effect on the text whatsoever. I don't actually know what "Line Height" really is supposed to do.
At any rate, I'd like to get lines of text in those symbols closer together (much closer together). By doing so, I can use smaller sized symbols and increase the density of my diagrams.
Does anybody know if there is a way to reduce the line spacing? I'd love to learn about this.
Thanks for any/all help.
Blessings,
Doug
