Hi everyone,
I need your help regarding the type of thermostat to use. I've configured the existing one using the "over_climate" type, but I'm not sure if it's the right one.
My setup is as follows: Meross MTS200 wall thermostats controlling Danfoss on/off valves, with no intermediate state. I don't use the internal temperature of the thermostats because it's too inaccurate, so the temperature is from an external sensor that is sent to the thermostat via Home Assistant (HA) using the calibration function. Therefore, there's no temperature correction to be made on that side.
Since my thermostat only opens or closes a valve, should I use an "over_switch" instead of an "over_climate"? I have a water-based underfloor heating system. The Meross HA integration exposes entities of type "climate".
I'm scratching my head over this question and I want to use the optimal method because to control other valves, I simply use Shelly devices paired with the valves and configured as "over_switch".
Thank you in advance for your insights and have a good evening!
