Clarification about "opening control entities"

Hello everyone,

I've got MOES BRT-100-TRV thermostats and I believe they fit into "over_climate" with "Direct control of valve" category so I'm trying to set them up this way.

I went over docs and I more or less understand concepts/ideas and algorithms behind the scene but I'm confused when I have to fill out details for "Valve regulation configuration".

These are entities I can choose from:

While it's pretty obvious that t_bedroom_local_temperature_calibration is good candidate for "Offset calibration entities" then I'm a bit confused what exactly should I use for "Opening degree entities".
Is that something that should be exposed by my TRV or it's rather entity that I should create and make it a number?

Sorry for silly question but I'm kinda lost in the terminology probably. English as not my native language probably isn't helpful here either ;)

Some clarification would be highly appreciated.

Or maybe someone is using these particular TRVs and can share his/her settings that would also be helpful.

Yes the opening degree is the entity that allows the direct control of the valve. This is number entity that force the opening of valve. And this is obviously mandatory else you cannot control the valve.

As described in the documentation (https://github.com/jmcollin78/versatile_thermostat/blob/main/documentation/en/presentation.md#equipment) you should use the over_climate with self-regulation for MOES TRV.

Thanks for your answer but I'm still confused. What exactly should be that opening entity in my case?
As I showed on a screenshot I can choose among eco, min and max temperature. I don't take into consideration boost_heating_countdown.

What is "Sonoff Opening degree 1" in that case? Is it something exposed by TRV or something I should create on my own?

You don't have opening degree entity so you cannot use the 'direct valve control' self-regulation.

Ok... stupid me. I think I started turning it on while jumping over different parts of docs.
Maybe various MOES / Tuya TRVs have various things exposed and at some point I started configuring my model as different one.
I'm marking that discussion as answered and once again sorry for wasting your time ;)
