Version of the custom_component

Latest on HACS

Describe the bug

Change preset on the VTherm UI (from the other repo :) ) to frost, eco, comfort, boost, and an event is fired for versatile_thermostat_preset_event
Change the "dial" manually and the preset unhighlights in the UI but no event is fired.

I'm trying to:
detect when someone accidentally touches the temperature dial and put it back to what it was depending on which user changed it (kids like to fiddle!)

And I expect:
an event to fire for any preset change - including a "none", "None", "manual", "Manual" state.

But I observe this ....
No event was fired :-(

@chrisnewmanuk chrisnewmanuk changed the title preset_mode change not firing when set to "manual" by manually selecting the temperature dial preset mode change not firing when set to "manual"/"none" by manually selecting the temperature dial Jan 21, 2025

Hello, yes I need what is describe in the issue template. Lastest release doesn't mean anything, the attributes of the Vtherm (which type of VTherm, use central preset or local preset). Did you create an issue or a feature request ?

Heya,
VTherm is over_climate and issue occurs when using central or local presets.
Latest version on HACS at the time of raising the ticket was 7.1.4 and that is also the version I have installed.

As for whether it's a feature request or an issue, I have no idea - it depends on whether its expected functionality in which case its a new feature or if it's a bug in which case its an issue :)

I'm just an end user reporting something unexpected

When you create the issue, have you select "issue" or "feature request" ? That is my question ?
