Build stuck in NioOioSocketEchoTest

Steps to reproduce the problem

1. Checked out latest develop (commit 2df35bb)
2. mvn clean install

Result was hang after the following line was printed out:

Running org.jboss.netty.channel.socket.NioOioSocketEchoTest

Two thread dumps follow, taken a few minutes apart:
org.jboss.netty.channel.socket.NioOioSocketEchoTest.stuckdump2.txt
org.jboss.netty.channel.socket.NioOioSocketEchoTest.stuck.txt
