Kando stops working after 2 menu calls (2.3.0)

Short Summary

I have binded kando to shift + space. Whenever I start kando and it starts working in background, I use my keyboard to invoke the menu. This works perfectly, but when I try to do it a second time after the 2.3.0 update the cursor transforms into (resize bottom right) and then the process stops (Kando stops working and I have to start the app again).

Steps to Reproduce the Issue

1. Open the menu using a key combination
2. Click on any app or icon
3. Open the menu again with key combination
   The Icon should change and the app should stop working entirely.

I've tried to uninstall, re-download and install again, I've tried to delete the config folder...
I've re-installed version 2.2.0 and works perfectly.

Hi there! Are you using GNOME on Ubuntu? And is this on the X11 or Wayland session?

I am on Pop 24.04 and can confirm similar behavior. Two things stick out for me

• Triggering the hotkey button while Chrome is the active window
• Triggering the hotkey button while hovering over a window resize zone (when the cursor turns into resize arrows)

I can get about two calls in before the thing crashes.

Running it from the terminal, I get a bit more context.

Failed to register kando:// protocol. Deep links will not work.
Running on Linux (GNOME on wayland).
