@terrajobst you had strong opinions against AngularJS 2 and recommended using AngularJS 1. Can you please confirm & potentially share some details/links? We are UI newbs here except @safern ;)

Look at Aurelia (http://aurelia.io/) it is great framework and you will spend most of the time working on actual app code, not on framework boilerplate as you would with Angular 2.

What @klinki said. In my opinion Angular 2 feels very overengineered and heavy handed. Angular 1 was OK. But Aurelia is quite sexy because it's simple and very flexible.
