UX issues--canvas vs. texture

It was unclear that you would select a canvas OR texture. It seems like you would take a texture and apply it to some part of the canvas. Just adding instructions for "or" would clear this up.

Curate a collection, while using a buzzword, is a little confusing. Since we're focusing on collages, a better wording might be "Create a new collage" or "create a new collection" or "use as background".

Or combining rooms + textures and giving an option to "use as canvas".
