/kind feature

Describe the solution you'd like
I am not sure if is lack of documentation or a missing feature.
Currently is possible to deploy an AKS enabled by Arc using one of the following options:

However, I don't find any documentation that allows me to map these configurations to CAPZ.
Lacking points:

  • tests for ExtendendLocation -> Type: "CustomLocation" code So only edge is tested.
  • resource API mapping for the "Microsoft.HybridContainerService/provisionedClusterInstance" -> This in AKS enabled by Arc is the same as "Microsoft.ContainerService/managedClusters" is for AKS
  • Sample or examples showcasing the use case of using CAPZ for AKS enabled by Arc.

Anything else you would like to add:
As short term solution, I will thank any CAPZ expert can give us documentation/instructions using CAPZ to manage the node pools of a BYO AKS enabled by Arc .
Thank you for your work and attention.

Environment:

  • cluster-api-provider-azure version: v1.18.0
  • Kubernetes version: (use kubectl version): NA
  • OS (e.g. from /etc/os-release): NA
