I was trying to figure out how to save a generated mesh, filename.msh, in Version 2.2 format? The default is Version 4.1 format. |

Hi Antonio,
It appears that my problem was my FreeCad drawing i.e. the *.brep file,
which had some errors. This apparently caused gmsh to unexpectedly produce
a msh file only in the default format.
So, by correcting my FreeCad drawing, I was able to get gmsh to give me the
version 2.2 msh format via invoking gmsh as:
$ gmsh -format msh22 &
