Greetings. I will get right to the point.
I am currently using Linux Mint 21.2 Cinnamon with two monitors. I set a bottom panel for each of these monitors. If BOTH these panels are transparent (no maximized windows) Cinnamon becomes very laggy in its entirety (window drags, menu panel show/hide, etc.).
This problem does not happen if just one of the two panels is transparent.
I hope this could get fixed soon. I tried to look at the source code, but unfortunately I couldn't find what is causing the problem.
I even noticed that the problem temporarily fixes itself if I edit the panels in the Mint settings while the extension is activated (e.g. by adding and removing a top panel). But then, after restarting Cinnamon, or after doing any other action which makes the panels' transparency status to refresh, the same issue appears.
