Live-rendering randomly stops working

Hey,

I was playing around with the TeXpresso LSP extension as an alternative to using TeXLab + Skim app on MacOS, and its working really great. However, I noticed that sometimes the live-rendering just stops working, and new updates are not shown anymore. Currently, the only way to fix that for me is to restart the LSP, which is a huge disruption to my workflow. I wasn't able to identify what exact action triggers this behavior yet. Would be glad to get any hints on what the problem might be!

Hi, as far as I am aware this happens with texpresso with nvim and vscode too but I can't comment on whether it is more common in one or the other. One thing which could mitigate user intervention is the language restarting the process in certain situations.

One thing that might help is the language server logs (you should be able to find it through the zed command palette), it dumps a bunch of communications with the texpresso process. If you paste that stuff here next time you have this it might help making a decision on this.

One other thing to try is building from the newer upstream version of let-def/texpresso. The branch that the readme in this repo points to has been merged upstreamed.

Hey, sorry for the late response, I've had some troubles reliably reproducing this error to get the logs. I noticed, however, that with the new Zed 1.0 release, live-update is not working at all, i.e., it "crashes" right at the beginning. You can find the LSP logs here, and the RPC messages (if needed) here.
