And? Lucia and Auth.js handles authentication but they’re still different things. Lucia is purposely built not to be NextAuth. |

NextAuth intentionally cripples password based authentication and promotes OAuth with third party platform services despite their slogan being “Own Your Data”. It’s a complete nonstarter for privacy conscious people. |
