What is Mathics

Mathics is a general-purpose computer algebra system (CAS). It is meant to be a free, open-source alternative to Mathematica.

Documentation

Web-based documention is available on-line from the Django-based Webserver. For PDF documentation on Mathics and what it contains the Mathics.org site.

You can also build the pdf yourself. See Building-the-documentation for details.
