Whisper (Local) not working

Thank you for investing time building this for the community.
I have installed the latest version using Homebrew on Apple M1 Pro with macOS 15.7.3

I am trying to use the Large Turbo model (also tried the smaller ones), the application is showing the the model is installed, bit the storage under still shows Zero KB. I do see the files and the folders structure being created in the Huggingface path.

If I click refresh now, the installed will be replaced with get again.
When trying a recording after installed, the recording window say that the model is ready, but then changes to downloading forever.

Any idea what might be wrong?
I gave the application full disk access permission.

Hi, exactly the same issue here with a MacBook Air M2 and the Base model

I ran into this issue after upgrading to AudioWhisper 2.1.0 on a MacBook running macOS 26.3. I installed AudioWhisper using Homebrew. The app kept downloading models and never completed the process. After downgrading to AudioWhisper 2.0, the issue disappeared and everything worked again. It looks like something may have regressed in 2.1.0. Happy to provide logs or test a fix if that is helpful. Thank you!
