Is pasting from clipboard supported? Maybe inline data url can be supported if the image is not quite big.

I like the idea, but this requires a proposed API. Specifically, it requires the documentPaste API. If I understand correctly, third party extensions using proposed APIs can’t be published.

This is the same problem blocking #390.
