Concern about Admin Dependency in Medusa V2 #8660
-
Hi all, I've been enjoying Medusa as a backend service, and particularly appreciated the flexibility of using my own UI instead of the built-in admin UI. However, I'm a bit concerned about the upcoming V2. It seems from the code that the Admin UI will be a mandatory dependency, meaning you can't run the backend services without it. Here's the relevant code,
Is this the intended direction for Medusa, where it can no longer be run as a standalone backend service? Or is this perhaps an oversight that will be addressed in future releases? (I understand that the upcoming version uses the medusa CLI to start the server, but I'd like to keep it in my index.js file for more control.) |

Update: I just realised you can disable the admin in the config. |
