Default Windows Parameters in Winhance

Hi!
I have a quick question regarding how Winhance applies optimizations.

When installing or first running Winhance, does the tool automatically change any Windows parameters or registry values — or does everything stay completely at default until the user explicitly applies a tweak?

If Winhance does modify some parameters by default, could you please consider adding an option or documentation that shows the original Windows default values for each tweak?
That would help users easily revert changes and better understand what each setting does.

Hey there and thanks for the question.

The answer to your question is yes and no, let me explain:

No, Winhance does not apply or change any of the settings found in it by default, but it does change certain power related registry values to SHOW some settings in the Power optimizations feature.

Below is a screenshot of PowerShell code, these entries are automatically changed when Winhance starts up, but the only thing this does is change the visibility of Power settings in Windows (and therefore Winhance) but it does not change any of those settings. Those settings already exist in Windows, they are just hidden by default in Windows.

By changing the Attributes value to 0, it shows the setting (makes it visible), by default the value is 1 (setting is not visible but exists on the system).

I didn't consider this destructive as the setting itself is not changed, only the visibility of it.

I'm aware that the current state of Winhance is lacking in the department of reverting back to defaults, I mean, you can just toggle a setting back to what it was before, but currently Winhance doesn't track which settings were applied since the user ran Winhance for the first time.

I'll be working on improving this in the future.
