I had no access to the addon. Coincidentally, a friend of mine recently bought one. I can see, I need to extend the script a bit since addons have to be collected differently within the Shelly script.

I've just added support for addons and have currently tested with S1 Gen3 and a DHT22. DS18B20 will work the same way. I have to test voltage sensing yet.

Sorry for not answering for a long time. I checked your updated script. Everything works fine, but there is no analog input. I also noticed that there is a digital input from Shelly itself (tested on Shelly Plus 1, Shelly 1 Gen4)

what do you mean by analog input? There is voltage input. imo this is the only one analog (besides these dedicated for temperature sensors). Though you need to connect some voltage to it otherwise it's in unavailable state

I'm talking about this analog input. It is useful because it can be calibrated 0-100% on the shelly itself

Do you know how to wire things up to the Shelly to test the analog input?

You can connect any variable resistor 5-10 kΩ.

Addon Analog Input 1 is in the diagnostics category, is that what you intended or is it a mistake?

Shelly Allows to setup translated value for analog input by providing a formula and units.

In this case original analog input goes to diagnostics and is disabled by default.

If custom formula is not set, the analog input is (should be) reported in sensors as you said.

I'm still working on final naming and polishing things (in case you are testing the code from the given branch)

I've just pushed a new commit to the branch you are tracking.
Indeed, there was a bug, causing the original sensor to fall into Diagnostics, regardless of whether it had an alternate formula or not.

I've extended the granularity of picking custom names from the Shelly config. You can enable/disable them for device naming, shelly device channels, and addon channels separately.
Note, if a custom name is set (and configured to be picked for entity naming), the addon prefix as well as numbering suffix are not used anymore. Though the functionality is added to the name (ie Temperature, Switch etc). It's because the custom name belongs to the whole channel, which may consist of multiple sensors (ie switch reports its state, energy, temperature etc).

Note, when looking at HA GUI (device view), sometimes the page does't refresh all values. But they are there. Page reveals them.

Also, since now, the script reacts to config changes (ie name change of the channel), republishing discovery immediately. It should also work on MQTT, connect the same way. Thus, discovery happens on script start, Shelly restart (if autostart is enabled), on MQTT connect, or Shelly config change.
