• As part of the external data squad we need language for a tool tip that would explain how the interface will be different if a users data doesn't match the requirements of an NMDC workflow.

Reads a bit weird to me... "will not be place to provide"

Are you trying to say there won't be metadata fields to provide the information, or are you saying your data won't be able to be added to the NMDC data portal?

Could we say

"You may proceed with your submission for sample metadata capture. However, your data generation methods are not currently supported by NMDC workflows"

we are trying to say that an external data tab won't show up so we won't capture data generation methods and processed workflow results won't be made available.
