Distant collection date causes timeline to zoom way out

I'm creating this ticket to document something for future reference, not to request that anyone take action.

Someone mistakenly set the collection date of a biosample to 1905 instead of 2005. As a result, the timeline on the Data Portal zoomed way out in order to include that data point in the display. That is shown here (spotlight effect added by me).

For this specific data point, team members plan to manually update the data point (they confirmed its correct date in an external system).

I don't consider this to be a bug in the UI, as it is reflecting the data "as it exists today." If it hadn't shown this, we may not have noticed the data entry error.
