I only have limited experience with pre-commit, but I see it can add value, such as automatically formatting files before you can commit them. I think it might be worthwhile to set up pre-commit to at least format python code and typescript code. It would clean up the git history, and make for fewer errors in CI that could have easily been prevented. (I know I for one am guilty of authoring many commits that only format code)
