No more options?

I think I've done everything I can. gvfs can't be configured, therefore my file system is essentially broken. I've removed and reloaded both gvfs and thunar. Yes I have fuse. All the daemons are linked, there's actually no warning or prompt telling me anything is wrong, I just turned it on and first noticed my trash file was gone. The only thing I can do now is reload the OS and hope it doesn't happen again? Any suggestions would be great. I've goingat this for hours with no progress.
