Can't run on WSL with pnpm

Describe the bug
When trying to install using pnpm and the preinstall script:

 "preinstall": "npm_config_registry=https://registry.npmjs.org pnpm dlx ado-npm-auth --verbose",

Get the following error

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to '...'
2. Click on '....'
3. Scroll down to '....'
4. See error

Expected behavior
It should be able to pull the PAT

Also seeing this exact error while running npm install in a WSL session via a docker devcontainer

Confirming, seeing this same error on Windows + WSL after pnpm i.
